L-Glutamine is an amino acid that is science-backed to benefit gut health by supporting the microbiome and the integrity of the digestive tract. It may also help with leaky gut and irritable bowel syndrome.

Slippery Elm bark is used to soothe the mucous lining of the stomach and intestines and may help relieve symptoms associated with inflammatory bowel diseases. It may also be used as a remedy for heartburn and for gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).

Marshmallow Root, like slippery elm, is a demulcent herb that soothes inflamed tissues, such as the gut lining, and therefore may protect against ulcers and improve leaky gut. Marshmallow root also has prebiotic properties to feed beneficial gut microbiome probiotics.

Deglycyrrhised Liquorice (DGL) is another anti-inflammatory and demulcent herb that promotes digestive comfort and is effective against heartburn, indigestion, and nausea. Because liquorice is an antispasmodic it can have a positive effect on abdominal pain and other muscle cramps. DGL has proven more effective than many acid-suppressive drugs and is often used to treat acid reflux and healing from gastric ulcers.

OptiMSM® is an ultra-pure form of sulphur rich methylsulfonylmethane. Better known for its regenerative properties in joint and skin health, MSM has a beneficial impact on all the body’s tissues – and the gut is no exception. MSM helps reduce gut inflammation and repair damaged intestinal tissues, contributory causes of leaky gut.

Zinc is critical to intestinal health. Deficiency in this essential mineral is related to chronic digestive problems and diarrheal diseases. Zinc also facilitates nutrient absorption and digestion and supports a healthy immune response. Zinc bisglycinate (TRAACS®) is chelated to be gentle on the stomach and is super absorbable.

Baobab Fruit Powder consists of 50% dietary fibre, 75% of which is soluble prebiotic dietary fibre. Recent research suggests baobab is as powerful a prebiotic as inulin2, but at half the dose. Baobab is also a source of antioxidants, Vitamin C, calcium, and magnesium.

 

Flavour: slightly tart and fruity from the baobab, and lightly sweetened with stevia leaf extract.

Adults take one measured tablespoon (7 g) mixed with 200 ml water, kefir or kombucha, once daily with food, or as advised by a health professional. Adjust the amount of liquid to suit your taste preference. Stir well or blend in a shaker bottle.

Warranties and Returns

  • A 20% handling charge will apply to items returned which were correctly supplied. Courier charges for returning goods are for the customer’s account.
  • Good Life Organic will replace or refund items that are defective or expired at time of delivery. We cannot be held responsible for items damaged after delivery.
  • Good Life Organic must be notified of any damages / breakages within 5 calendar days of receipt of the goods, preferably with a photograph of the damages incurred.
  • “Sale or Return” is not part of our trading terms. Failure to sell goods is not a valid reason for returning them to Good Life Organic.
  • Organic foodstuffs are grown without pesticides, are free of preservatives, and are not subject to fumigation using toxic chemicals. These foodstuffs are therefore susceptible to organisms which naturally consume these products. Considering these factors we can only provide a limited guarantee of 2 months from date of invoice for the products to be free of insects. Infestations after this 2-month period will be deemed to be due to in-store contamination and cannot be refunded.

Deliveries

  • Subject to the availability of stock, our minimum turn-around time for orders is 48 hours.
  • Orders will be processed strictly on a “first come, first served” basis.
  • Interest, minimum orders, and handling and delivery charges are applied entirely at our discretion.
  • Courier costs are for customer’s account, unless otherwise agreed.

Orders and Payments

  • First-time orders and exports need to be paid for in full before goods are despatched.
  • Proof of payment is required. As a wholesaler supplying the retail trade, minimum orders apply.
  • The extension of credit facilities is at our discretion and subject to the completion of an “Application for Credit Facilities” form.
  • All credit accounts must be paid in full within 30 days of invoice.
  • EFT is the preferred mode of payment. Cash deposits will be charged at 3% of the total amount.
  • Overdue amounts shall bear interest at the current bank rates.
  • An order will not be shipped if there are any outstanding invoices / amounts that have not been settled. Products remain the property of Good Life Organic until paid for in full.
  • Prices are subject to change without notice. Good Life Organic cannot be held responsible for purchasing decisions based on outdated or incorrect price lists. Price lists are available on request.
